Knotty Knitters & Happy Hookers...
This group will normally meet on the second Tuesday of the Month, from 7:30pm details of the venue are in the WhatsApp Group message.
There is just far too much chatting that goes off at these meetings, that everyone forgets to take photos!
I suppose that is a good sign!

Another Charity donation...

This time there was a dozen blankets donated to the hospice as well over 20 pairs of hearts.
Along with this premature baby blankets and jackets were given to the neo natal unit.
Well done everyone involved in this wonderful achievement. Some of the items were displayed at our Annual Meeting. We are also grateful to the members of the Balfour Club (where are crafters meet), who kindly donated wool for our projects. Any oddments of wool can be turned into beautiful items by our crafters.

Well done!
Brilliant work by our crafters, as we donated 11 blankets to Haywood House Hospice for their blanket appeal.
What's going on?

A number of our knitters and crocheters are busy working on SWAN blankets to be donated to the Nottingham Hospice.
So far we we think we are approaching 10 either complete or in progress.
It is our intention to have some labels made so that we can sew on a lable to say who donated the blankets.

We are also doing pairs of hearts for the Hospice and there are some suggetted patterns below;-
With this project the idea is that we make two identical hearts, one stays with the patient and one with the family so these patterns are just guides.

Our Inaugural Meeting...
7th October 2021 at the Longbow

Who knew two hours could pass so quickly...
We sat and chatted and amongst us had various projects on the go, from baby jackets and blankets to childrens toys.
Whilst there was only 6 of us at this first meeting we hope the numbers will grow.

So for our first meeting ....
It's Thursday 7th October. We aim to have this on the second Thursday of the month, but as a WI we are committed to the Federation Quiz Night, so bear with us ....
We also have our Christmas Meal coming up and that will also affect meeting dates.
Just bring what ever craft you are working on. We are meeting in the Family Room at the Longbow on Calverton Road. As we are not paying for the room we would request that you buy a drink.
There is a WhatsApp group, so please ask to join if you are interested.
